Under Construction!

Hey all! Sorry, it’s been too long since I last posted. I’m informing you all that Aka Passion will be changing it’s look! I’m not really good with web design, so the changes won’t be amazing or anything. For those who use banners, I’ll be creating a new banner for my blog. If you’d like to use it, feel free!

That’s it for today, folks!

Alter Yagyu Jubei Re-release!

Behold! This lovely lass Yagyu Jubei by Alter is getting a re-release! She’s set to release in August 2010.  I am really pleased to hear this news and I instantly ordered!

When she came out back in October 2009, I really felt that I missed out on a jewel of a figure.  Her unique character designs really interested me, with the ropes and swords on her. Her colors just make the figure pop, not to mention that cute pose! Her face is absolutely gorgeous and cute! At that time, I knew I missed out on another one of Alter’s beauties. Many figure collectors were pleased by her final outcome.

I feel that Miss Jubei is the one Hyakka Ryoran figure I must have. Looking at all the other Hyakka Ryoran figures currently out, I just liked Jubei more (with Senhime right in second place.)

For those who have her, she must be a real beauty in your collection! For those who still want her, you can pick her up at Hobby Search, Otacute, AmiAmi and soon HLJ!

Latest Pre-Orders

This week, I decided to go a little figure shopping. Went to Otacute and pre-ordered a few figures. Here are the ones that I ordered:

BRS figma. I had already posted about this figure. Can’t wait for it to come out! July 2010 release.

BRS nendo. I was at first unsure if I wanted to pre-order it, but I gave in and ordered one. She’ll be a great addition to my BRS collection. July 2010 release.

Finally, Momohime by Alter. I have wanted this figure since I saw it at Wonder Fest about a month ago. She’s truly stunning: Looking good at all angles and the details on her are just fabulous! July 2010 release (but knowing Alter, she’ll be delayed until December 2010.)

Older Pre-Orders

BRS Black Blade version. She’s so beautiful, not to mention affordable! April 2010 release (though delaying is possible.)

Hayakawa Yuzuko by GSC. I’ve had her on order since the end of November. I’ve really fallen in love with her; she’s just so dynamic. She comes with a booklet and a drama CD. I also own the manga she’s from, so the drama CD should be pretty interesting. We’ll see if it follows the storyline. April 2010 release.

Well, those are my pre-orders. Looks like I’ll be experiencing some time without any money.

Black Rock Shooter Figma, check!

Today in the figure world, GSC and Max Factory started up their reservations for their ever so popular Black Rock Shooter figma and nendoroid. These are probably the most wanted figma and nendoroid figures that I have ever seen. In fact, I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t get my chance to order one, but there was no need. GSC and Max Factory are having a “made to order” policy. So everyone can order as many BRS nendos and figmas as they want! That being said, I went to Otacute and placed an order on a BRS figma. As for the nendo, I’m still not sure if I want one yet. Well, I have plenty of time to think about it.

So, which BRS figures are you guys pre-ordering today?

I’m Not Dead!

I know,  I haven’t posted a blog entry in a while! It’s been since this year’s Wonder Fest. Well, I guess you’re wondering what’s up with me. I’ve been a little busy lately, but not only that. I’ve also been having computer issues. Hopefully these problems will clear up soon, but in the meantime I’ll try to post more often.

Until then, Ciao!

My WonFest 2010 Winter Highlights

Ahhh, Wonder Fest. A time when we get to see the new figures that will break our wallets. This Wonder Fest was extremely impressive. I found more things I liked than the previous ones. Here are my highlights for this year’s WonFest Winter:

Nanoha Movie Petits! It’s nice to see Yuno and Chrono in this set. Looks like I’ll have to split it with Rin.

Thank you, Good Smile! On my “To Buy’ list.

Good Smile’s biggest announcement. This figure will be huge and it will cost A LOT. I don’t think I have that kind of money, so I’ll pass.

This has to be the best Mari, in my opinion. I’ll get it someday.

Rei figma 🙂

Speaking of Evangelion, here’s Rei! She looks so much better than my Revoltech. On the “To Buy” list.

Saber! Finally, a regular armor nendo. On my “To Buy” list for sure.

Finally, a Yuki I like.

Momohime from Oboro Muramasa Yotoden

Now this was a surprise. I was expecting an Alter Velvet but got this instead. Well, the game was made by the same guys who did Odin Sphere. On my “To Buy” list.

Senhime. I love her. On my “To Buy” list.

Natsume Takashi

A male figure from Alter?! Yes, Alter is starting a line aimed from female figure collectors (like myself), known as Altair. I’m quite interesting in how this comes out.

This was a shocker. This Aegis will be done by Cospa. I’m keeping my eye on this one.

Here it is. The infamous Black Rock Shooter Anime Version. I have to say this, but I’m disappointed. The face is bothering me. Not quite sure if it’s a must have anymore.

Yet, another surprise. Being a figma and a BRS fan, I must have this.

The cutest thing ever.

Finally, a BRS nendo! I predict this one will need 4 runs in order to satisfy everyone.

Speaking of BRS, some promotional art. If this comes in a poster, I want it.

Well, that’s it for my highlights. Check out DannyChoo, HobbyStock Blog and wCloudx Kumo’s for more!

Headphones and Headphone Musume

There’s just something about headphone girls that really interests me. Lately, I’ve been into headphones and of course headphones and girls go hand in hand. I’ve become quite a fan, really!

What’s great about the headphone musume is that they’re wearing actual headphones, so if you find one you like, you can buy a pair. Of course headphones are not cheap, as I realized. However, there are some nice cheap pairs too, notably the Koss PortaPros:

I’m considering getting a pair myself. Only thing I don’t like about them is that they leak a lot of sound. So, I’m thinking of getting these instead:

Sadly, there’s no headphone musume for this model. It looks pretty nice and from what others have said, sounds great. Both headphones are pretty affordable (around the $30-50 range.)

For more headphone musume, check out the Shin Moeru Headphone Reader. It’s got lots of nice pictures and of course, headphones!
